We are committed to being a responsible business – from the way we interact with our clients and employees, to how we support our local communities and the environment.
We believe in offering clients the right responsible investment choices for them. We do this by combining good stewardship with ESG (environmental, social and governance) integration in the investment process. Being a good steward of our clients’ assets means managing them in a way that aligns with their wishes, and enhances and protects their long-term value. We are proud signatories to the UK Stewardship Code 2020, which sets high stewardship standards for those investing money on behalf of UK savers and pensioners.
We strive to create a working environment in which all colleagues feel welcome and supported. We believe that an inclusive culture enables everyone to contribute to our success because their differences in outlook, perspective and background are valued. Our ambition is that our colleagues experience this, inclusive of gender, race, age, ability, religion, sexual orientation and other characteristics. We recognise that we still have plenty of work to do, and we are committed to further progress. Our Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Committee lead this work.
We want to have a positive impact in the communities we are part of. We engage in charitable activities both at corporate and local office level, helping to inspire futures and support those around us. We work with Business In The Community, the Charities Aid Foundation and our charitable partners to support our corporate responsibility strategy. At a local level, we have a network of Corporate Responsibility Ambassadors who inspire and encourage charitable activities in their offices.
