John is an Assistant Director and Investment Manager looking after the portfolios and needs of mainly private individuals, such as those heading into retirement or business owners looking for an income stream after an exit.
He is also the Engagement Partner for the East Midlands, providing a link between senior management and staff. He has expertise in dealing with multigenerational families, educating clients’ children and grandchildren on the ins and outs of investing. He remembers his own parents being given bad financial advice when he was growing up and passionately wants to prevent this from happening to anyone else.
John began his investment career in 1998 at GHC Capital Markets where he worked as an Investment Manager. He has been with the Brewin Dolphin Nottingham office since 2011, working initially in the Portfolio Management team. He is a Chartered Wealth Manager and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
