Banking on European equities – GAM

Podcast
Views & insights

Following on from the most recent Podcast, where we discussed the merits of the US banking sector, in this edition we tackle the same areas within Europe with our guest speaker Hans Ulrich, the lead manager of the GAM Euroland Value fund. Before specifically discussing the banking sector, however, Hans provides his view on whether the pace of the European recovery has already passed it nadir and, therefore, where it might be heading? Also, up for debate are the merits of individual companies such as Deutsche Bank, but also names from other cyclical parts of the market, such as ArcelorMittal.
