StJohn draws on wide-ranging career experience in his position as investment director. He leads the wider investment team at RBC Brewin Dolphin’s London, St. James’s office.
His responsibilities include maintaining investment models, running an equity and funds research process, chairing the office investment asset allocation committee and developing and managing investment solutions for private clients. StJohn began his financial services career in 1986 at Lloyd’s of London.
After a brief period as a wealth planner, he joined Merrill Lynch as an investment manager in 1999. He held key managerial roles at private bank Arbuthnot Latham and investment firm family office Sandaire before joining RBC Brewin Dolphin in 2021. StJohn has an MBA from Cranfield School of Management, is a chartered fellow of both the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and the Chartered Insurance Institute and has a Diploma from the Personal Finance Society.
