Paula is a Senior Paraplanner in the Edinburgh office, where she manages a team of seven paraplanners and works closely with the rest of the Financial Planning team.
Alongside this she carries out technical research and assists in writing bespoke financial plans and solutions. Her main area of expertise is retirement planning, as well as estate and inheritance tax planning, general tax efficiency planning and investment strategies.
Paula began her financial services career in 2000 at MDH Hughes in Edinburgh where she worked as a Pension Technical Support Consultant. She then moved to Futurity as a Technical Executive in 2005 and then to the Oval Group as a Paraplanner in 2007. She joined RBC Brewin Dolphin in 2010 as a Paraplanner. She is proud of becoming the first non-client facing staff member in Edinburgh to be made Assistant Director. She has a Diploma in Financial Planning.
