Michael is in charge of the RBC Brewin Dolphin office in Leeds and is also Head of Charities for Yorkshire, providing specialist investment advice to charities across the region. Under his leadership, the Leeds office has become one of RBC Brewin Dolphin’s largest with a significant increase in the number of clients across the county.

Michael has a comprehensive understanding of charities and their investment objectives. For 25 years he has also been treasurer of the Bradford homeless charity Nightstop which provides emergency overnight accommodation for 16 to 25-year-olds.

Michael began his financial services career in the 1980s, working for two of the Big Four accountancy firms. He moved into investment management with Wise Speke in 1990 before the company was acquired by RBC Brewin Dolphin in 1998. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI).
