Jonathan became the Regional Managing Director for Central & North of England in 2020. He is responsible for the management, leadership and strategic planning of these offices, as well as the delivery of client outcomes and service. On a national basis he also oversees the direct sales channel and the charities proposition.
Alongside this he is an Investment Manager, acting as a trusted adviser to a few Edinburgh based private clients and high-net-worth families. He is also Chairman of RBC Brewin Dolphin-owned Mathieson Consulting Ltd, an actuarial business that specialises in writing divorce settlement procedures for pensions.
Jonathan gained an ability to employ strategic thinking at an operational level during his time in the Army. He left as a Major in 2001, joining RBC Brewin Dolphin as a graduate trainee. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and Vice Chairman of the Scottish Veterans Residences.
