Jonathan joined Brewin Dolphin in 2001, having spent the first 9 years of his professional life as an Officer in the British Army. He became a Director of Brewin Dolphin in 2008 and then Head of the Edinburgh Office in 2014. He moved to become a Regional Managing Director in 2016, firstly responsible for the South West and then the Central and Northern Region.
In 2023 Jonathan became Managing Director, Head of Distribution with responsibilities for the distribution of proposition and service across RBC Wealth Management Europe, with particular focus on the Direct Clients, Charities and Digital Solutions. He is Chairman of Mathieson Consulting Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of RBC Brewin Dolphin that specialises in providing actuarial expert witness reports in writing divorce settlements for pensions.
Jonathan is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments, he has a degree in Business and Economics and is a graduate of the Oxford University Saïd Business School Advanced Management and Leadership Programme. He is also Chairman of the Scottish Veteran Residencies, a charity and housing association that helps provide support and shelter for homeless veterans.
