Johnny is a DivisionalDirectorin our Edinburgh office. He provides wealth planning and investment advice to individuals, corporates and trusts, as well as managing portfolios for some of those clients and for intermediaries.
He specialises in looking after rural families who often have very specific needs. Intergenerational family wealth planning is often core to this, meaning vehicles including trusts, family investment companies and offshore products often being utilised. He usually works in tandem with the families’ legal and accounting teams because of the complexity of the financial arrangements.
In 2004 he started working for the merchant banker Teather & Greenwood as a Trainee. He then joined the RBC Brewin Dolphin London office in 2005 as a Trainee Investment Manager. He qualified as an Investment Manager before moving to the Edinburgh office in 2013.
He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
