Jamie Boyd

Jamie, a Divisional Director, joined RBC Brewin Dolphin in 2010 and is an Investment Manager in the Edinburgh office where he leads a team of four. He constructs and manages investment portfolios for private clients including individuals, SIPPs, corporates, investment accounts and trusts.

He is proud of the relationships he develops with clients, regularly meeting with them to discuss the performance of the portfolio and markets as well as future needs and objectives.

Jamie is a qualified Chartered Accountant beginning his career in accountancy at Scott-Moncrieff in Edinburgh in 2000. He then moved into corporate finance with first Grant Thornton, followed by Noble Group and Allenby Capital in London where he was responsible for managing M&A transactions and floating companies on London’s AIM market. He is proud of making the decision to switch sector into investment management and work his way up from the bottom for a second time. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
