James joined the RBC Brewin Dolphin Edinburgh office in 2015 and is an Assistant Director and Investment Manager. Although he works with some trusts and pension schemes, he primarily helps private clients. Many of these are multi-generational families and he has particular interest and experience in implementing the transfer of wealth to younger members of the family.
He enjoys helping his clients throughout their financial journeys. Through reassurance, guidance and education he helps his clients go from unsure to confident about their finances, forming strong relationships with them along the way.
James started as a Trainee Investment Manager at RBC Brewin Dolphin. After rotating around the Charities and Intermediaries teams, he settled in his current team in 2018, qualifying as an Investment Manager the same year. He quickly rose to Assistant Director by 2022.
He has his Chartered Wealth Manager Qualification and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. He spent several years playing semi-professional rugby, and played internationally for Belgium.
