James joined the RBC Brewin Dolphin Cardiff office in 2013 and is responsible for developing new business partnerships with Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs). James provides specialist support for the group’s investment solutions.
He also spent two years as an IFA himself and has experience of exiting the industry and firm acquisitions. He began his career in financial services in 2000, supporting IFAs as a Broker Consultant with Standard Life in Cardiff. In 2008 he switched to MetLife as a Sales Development Manager, again working with South Wales based IFAs. At RBC Brewin Dolphin he believes his greatest success has been helping IFAs who are new to the group grow and develop.
He is a member of the Personal Finance Society and has a CII Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning. Outside of RBC Brewin Dolphin he is a member of the National Autistic Society helping to improve understanding of the condition especially in girls.
