Gordon heads up the Portfolio Management team as well as managing the investments of several private clients himself. He has retained some of those clients for more than 20 years – in some cases dealing with three generations. Developing the next generation of wealth managers is key part of RBC Brewin Dolphin’s mission, and as one of the company’s most senior managers, Gordon works extensively with graduates and other colleagues at the beginning of their careers.
Having initially qualified as a banker, his career in investment management began in 1985. He helped set up the financial planning business at Adam Investment Management and since then has worked in the financial sector all over the UK. He joined RBC Brewin Dolphin in 2001. He is an Associate of the Chartered Banker Institute as well as Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
