Gillian joined RBC Brewin Dolphin in 2008 and is an Investment Manager, looking after the discretionary portfolios of private individuals and families.
She has particular expertise in generational planning for families and helping to introduce children and grandchildren to the world of investing. She takes the time to explain various financial issues to families, such as how stock markets work. She also often encourages wives to take more of a front seat role in financial planning.
Gillian began her financial services career in 1995 at Gerrard Investment Management, later taken over by Barclays Wealth, becoming a Divisional Director whilst there. When she joined RBC Brewin Dolphin, she spent 10 years as the Head of the Nottingham Office and East Midlands, something of which she is proud. She also helped to set up the Group’s internal People’s Awards and Chaired the Judging Panel for this. She is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
