Divisional Director

“A large part of my role is about understanding our clients’ needs and risk level and making them feel comfortable with what we are doing.”

In her role as an Investment Manager, Elaine looks after investments for individuals and families through general investment accounts and ISA’s as well as offshore bonds. Working closely with Glasgow’s Financial Planning team, she also manages self-invested personal pensions for her clients.

Elaine has a particular focus on trusts, including personal injury and court of protection cases. She helps invest personal injury compensation by creating portfolios and building a close relationship with injured parties or their families. She is proud of her ability to listen to and empathise with clients, and of her expertise in collective investments and global equities.

Elaine began her financial services career with James Finlay Investment Management before joining RBC Brewin Dolphin in 1996, in the Glasgow office. She has gained a broad range of experience in different roles – from Assistant Director to Wealth Manager, and then Divisional Director in 2020. Elaine is a Chartered Wealth Manager and a Chartered Fellow of the CISI.
