Brian is an Investment Manager in our Shrewsbury office. Unlike many others in his role, he makes all the investment decisions in the portfolios he runs for clients, which include individuals, pension funds, companies and charities.
Brian carries out his own research, utilising RBC Brewin Dolphin’s central research team and third-party analysis but he also personally attends numerous company and fund meetings to talk to management teams and fund managers. He believes this communication is vital if he is going to add value to his clients and improve their returns.
Brian has spent over 30 years in various investment related roles across industries. First qualifying as a solicitor in the City in the 1980s, he worked in corporate finance for a leading investment bank and subsequently in international corporate development and commercial positions in the industry. He joined RBC Brewin Dolphin in 2010 and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
