Blair joined the RBC Brewin Dolphin Cardiff office in 1998 and provides investment advice and portfolio management to individuals, families, and trusts. His specialist skill is designing bespoke portfolios for clients and being able to gauge their risk appetites and identify how they can best preserve and grow wealth.
Blair is particularly proud of being able to engage with his clients and not just discuss investments but learn more about their wider needs and concerns. This has led him to introduce many of them to Cardiff’s Financial Planning team, offering a broader range of services such as family law.
Blair began his career in 1987 with Sternberg Thomas Clark in the City. He joined RBC Brewin Dolphin in 1994 in its Marlborough office before moving to Cardiff as an Assistant Investment Manager. Born in Wales but brought up in Sussex, he believes his local roots helped him gain the trust of his new clients and now serves not just them but their children and even grandchildren.
