Alistair is an Investment Manager in our Edinburgh office. He manages investment portfolios for private clients, predominately individuals, families and trusts. He also works closely with Edinburgh’s Financial Planning team, enabling him to help manage SIPPs and offshore bonds.
He is proud of the strong and trusting relationships he develops with clients and enjoys receiving regular positive feedback from them. A farmer’s son he has had a lengthy fascination in ‘stocks’ sparked by the rise in share prices of PPL Therapeutics, the creators of the cloned sheep Dolly back in the mid-1990s.
Alistair joined RBC Brewin Dolphin in 2006 as a Trainee Admin Assistant and has had experience in both the Intermediaries and Private Clients teams. He now heads up a team of investment and portfolio managers. He helps keep the team on track, hitting regulatory targets as well as guiding and coaching them on a day-to-day basis. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
