Families were hit with inheritance tax (IHT) bills of over £7bn1 last year, an increase of £1bn from the year before. While this is partly due to frozen IHT thresholds, it also reflects many families’ failure to plan. In this webinar, Lee Clark, our financial planning expert, discusses some of the ways to mitigate IHT, with useful case studies showing how smart advice can help you plan ahead.

In this webinar we discuss:

  • how inheritance tax works
  • the importance of planning ahead
  • some of the ways to mitigate IHT
  • how to make tax-efficient lifetime gifts
  • the role of pensions and trusts in estate planning

There will also be an opportunity to ask questions in a live Q&A.

This does not constitute tax or legal advice. Tax treatment depends on the individual circumstances of each client and may be subject to change in the future.
