Karen 'braves the shave' for children's cancer charity

Karen Norris from our Cardiff office has ‘braved the shave’ to raise funds for the Little Princess Trust. The Trust donates wigs to children in the UK who have lost their hair through cancer treatment. The wig is always free to the patient but if a suitable wig can't be sourced it costs the charity, on average, £350 per wig.

Karen grew her hair for two years in preparation and originally only planned to donate the seven inches of hair required to produce a wig. She was, however, so encouraged by her colleagues’ support in reaching her initial fundraising target that she made an even greater sacrifice and volunteered to shave her head completely. She is now on course to double her revised £1,000 target, with the Foundation providing £200 of matched fundraising.
