At Brewin Dolphin Ltd (“Brewin Dolphin”), protecting your private information is of utmost importance to us and we will keep your personal data confidential unless we are required to disclose it by law or regulation.

For our clients who decide to register to use our online services, we will collect and process personal data about you that will enable us to look after your account or to provide the specific services to you. This information will be handled in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

As a data controller Brewin Dolphin is registered with the Information Commissioners Office (“ICO”) and Brewin Dolphin has the obligation to notify the ICO about the purposes for which it processes personal information. We reserve the right to charge the statutory fee in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 for providing this information.

We will take reasonable technical and organisational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information. Your information is stored securely on our computer system, we restrict access to those who have a need to know. We also train our staff in handling the information securely.

However, you acknowledge that data transmission over the Internet is inherently insecure and that although BD uses secure protocols and other security utilities to protect client’s use of data on its web sites, we cannot guarantee the security of data sent over the Internet.

If you are a registered user you are responsible for keeping your password and user details confidential.

None of this information is reviewed at an individual level, and we do not use cookies to track people’s internet use after leaving our website.
