To celebrate 10 years of its community grants programme this year, wealth manager RBC Brewin Dolphin invited employees to nominate small, local charities to receive a grant of £5,000. From over 120 nominations, 10 charities from the UK and Republic of Ireland were chosen by a panel to receive one of the grants.
One of the charities to be awarded was Leicester-based the Bodie Hodges Foundation, which provides a range of support services to families across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland who have been bereaved of a child aged 18 or under.
The charity is in the process of purchasing Bodie’s House, the property it currently rents, to become a permanent base for its services and so the RBC Brewin Dolphin community grant will help towards this.

Robin Mellows, head of RBC Brewin Dolphin’s Nottingham office, which looks after the financial planning and investment needs of clients across the East Midlands, said: “Bodie Hodges Foundation is a fantastic charity supporting families bereaved of a child. We are pleased that we can help with their fundraising to achieve their dream of purchasing Bodie’s House, so that they can continue to provide support for many years to come.”
