To celebrate 10 years of its community grants programme this year, wealth manager RBC Brewin Dolphin invited employees to nominate small, local charities to receive a grant of £5,000. From over 120 nominations, 10 charities from the UK and Republic of Ireland were chosen by a panel to receive one of the grants.
One of the charities to be awarded was the Triple A project, a Cumbria-wide charity that supports people with autism by offering post diagnosis support programmes, employment advice and its ‘Positive Pals’ friendship groups.

At a cheque presentation, Andrew Asquith-Vallance, a financial planner in RBC Brewin Dolphin’s Penrith office and a trustee of the charity, said: “We are pleased to be able to support the invaluable work of such a wonderful local charity.”
Sheila Gregory, chair of the Triple A project, added: “We are delighted to receive this generous donation from RBC Brewin Dolphin. It is so difficult for small charities to raise money in the present economic circumstances. £5,000 will fund one of our Positive Pals groups for a year.”
