Wealth manager Brewin Dolphin has appointed Lucie Gordon as its new head of office for Newcastle. Lucie will conduct her head of office duties in conjunction with her existing role as head of intermediary sales. She succeeds the previous head of office, William Baker Baker, who will retire from the company at the end of 2021. In the interim, he will continue to look after his clients as a senior investment manager.

Lucie joined Brewin Dolphin’s Newcastle office in 2014 as a business development manager before being promoted to head of intermediary sales in 2018. She is a chartered financial planner with 20 years’ experience in financial services, having started her career at Aberdeen Standard Life.

Jonathan Tweedie, regional managing director, central and the north, Brewin Dolphin said: “I would like to congratulate Lucie on her new role. Lucie brings strong leadership skills and expertise in nurturing teams to achieve best outcomes for clients together with an in-depth knowledge of the financial services industry. I look forward to seeing how she will take the role forward and make it her own.”

He added:“I would like to thank William Baker Baker for 33 years of dedication and commitment to his clients in the North East and to Brewin Dolphin. William has guided the Newcastle office during a period of sustained growth and helped to raise the profile of the office locally and nationally.”

Lucie Gordon, head of office, Brewin Dolphin Newcastle, said:“I’m thrilled to be taking up the head of office baton from William Baker Baker, who has done a great job of growing the office and harnessing the vast potential that exists in the North East. I look forward to working closely with the talented and dedicated teams we have at Brewin Dolphin to help more people in the North East to achieve their financial goals.”
