Brewin Dolphin, one of the UK’s leading wealth management companies, has appointed a new financial planner in its Bristol office. James Shattock has joined the team to further grow the office’s financial planning activities.
James comes to Brewin Dolphin with over 20 years’ experience as a financial adviser, and most recently was employed at Hargreaves Lansdown, where he spent 18 years in their advisory services division. Previously, he held roles at Sedgwick (now Barclays Wealth) and Friends Provident.
Speaking about his appointment, James Shattock, financial planning director, Brewin Dolphin Bristol, said: “Having taken a good look at the advice market, I was looking to join a firm where the client relationship is very much at the centre. I was also looking for a firm where financial planning had as much importance as investment management and where I felt the integration of such services, where suitable, could pull together as one for the benefit of the client. The culture at Brewin Dolphin is very supportive and allows me to commit more of my time to doing what I know best, advising clients.”
