Brewin Dolphin, one of the largest independently-owned private client wealth managers in the UK, is delighted to announce the opening of its new East Anglia office. The Brewin Dolphin Ipswich office, which was established in 2012 and led by Andrew Wheeler, has merged with the Norwich office which opened in 1997. Both teams have moved into a new building in Ipswich where Andrew Wheeler will take on responsibility as head of the new combined office.
The new office is in the historic Fraser House in Museum Street which has recently been refurbished to a magnificent standard and is located close to the centre of town and a short walk from Ipswich Railway Station. The original building started life as the Frasers furniture emporium and was first refurbished following a devastating fire in 19121, remaining in service to furniture sales as Fraser (Maple) Ltd until the company closed in 1984 and the premises first became offices.

The merged team manages over £300 million of private client and charity funds and the new building provides a modern working environment with room for expansion and will enhance the services Brewin Dolphin provides. On average, the seven investment managers to be located in the new building enjoy over 20 years of industry experience. The new Brewin Dolphin East Anglia office will continue to offer investment management services to private clients including pensions, ISAs, trusts and charities.
This move reinforces Brewin Dolphin’s commitment to East Anglia, which is underpinned by continuing support for local events and charitable causes including the Suffolk and Royal Norfolk Shows, and the Norfolk and Suffolk Community Foundations
Andrew Wheeler, Head of Brewin Dolphin East Anglia said, “We are very excited about our merger with Norwich and our move into the stunning new Fraser House. We look forward to welcoming all our clients, local professionals and colleagues to the new office. The move marks the start of a new era for us in the Region and we are confident that the teams will continue to grow and build on the successes of the past years.
