Investment expert Mark McMullan is celebrating after being promoted to assistant director position at Wise Speke, the North East’s leading provider of investment management and financial services.
Mark, 33, who works in the company’s Teesside office, joined Wise Speke in 2001 as an investment advisor, and from there was swiftly promoted to investment manager. Specialising in the management of portfolios for private clients, Mark has now progressed to the senior role of assistant director in less than six years.
Commenting on his recent promotion, Mark said: “It feels great to have made it this far through the ranks of the company. I’ve greatly enjoyed my work during the past few years and my passion for investment management is still undiminished. I’m looking forward to the next six years!”
William Baker Baker, head of Wise Speke in Teesside, said: “Mark has been an excellent asset to the company, and it gives us great pleasure to promote him to assistant director. There’s a bright future for him here and we look forward to continuing to work with him for a long time.”
Mark, born and bred in Darlington, graduated from Birmingham University with a Banking & Finance degree in 1997 and started his career as a stockbroker with Lloyds. He moved back to the North East at the beginning of 2001 to take up his career with Wise Speke.
Wise Speke is a division of Brewin Dolphin and employs more than 300 people in its Newcastle and Teesside offices. In February it will adopt the name of its parent company, Brewin Dolphin.
