Brewin Dolphin, the largest independent private client investment manager in the UK, has opened a new office in Plymouth this week to extend its reach in Devon and Cornwall. The company has moved into offices at Ashleigh Way, Langage Business Park. With a new team of 15 in Plymouth, Brewin Dolphin, with its long established office in Exeter, becomes the significant investment manager in the region.
The office will be headed up by Gavin Price. He explains: “We are delighted to be joining Brewin Dolphin. The Group manages £21 billion of funds on behalf of more than 100,000 private clients, charities and pension funds. It has 38 offices around the UK and is also corporate adviser to 140 small and medium sized quoted companies. The combination of Brewin Dolphin’s scale of national resource and our strong local presence enables us to provide clients with a highly personal service and up to the minute information, to help us structure investments to match clients’ specific requirements.”
Mrs Sarah Soar, Managing Director of Brewin Dolphin’s Southern Region, adds: “We have wanted to open an office in Plymouth for many years, so we are delighted to have found the right team to head up this new branch which complements the work of our well established presence in Exeter.” The Plymouth team includes Divisional Directors Keith Kiddell, Tony Lamb, Andrew Ramsay, Ruth Smith, Terry Mudford and Tracy Smith who are all Members of the Securities & Investment Institute. Between them they have over 170 years of experience in the investment industry. They are joined by managers Katherine Willis and Barry Curwen and another six senior members of staff, who have all worked together as investment managers in Plymouth for many years.
