Brewin Dolphin, one of the UK’s leading wealth management companies, has appointed a new divisional director of portfolio management at its Reigate office.
In her role, Ebru Smith will lead the portfolio management team in Reigate to develop investment strategy and identify new investment paths. She will contribute to the development of the portfolio management team, ensuring client portfolios are run efficiently in adherence to client objectives and risk profiles, assist team members to enhance their knowledge, and nurture existing relationships with the business support and investment management teams.
Ebru has over 2
0 years of experience in the wealth management field, having worked for such heavyweights as Schroders, Reliance Mutual Insurance Society Limited and, most recently, at Duncan Lawrie Private Banking PLC. Before undertaking a career in financial services, she was an economic assistant at the British Embassy in Ankara, Turkey, where she was responsible for preparing and issuing economic and financial reports, and advising on Foreign Direct Investment into the UK. Amongst her other roles, Ebru has also been a freelance community interpreter, drawing upon her fluent English and Turkish language skills.
Ebru holds a BA (Hons) in Economics and is a Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
