They were developed by our people themselves, and they capture the character of the organisation.  They define how we interact with each other and with our clients, and the way we work to fulfil our vision of being the leading wealth manager in the UK. 

Development, engagement and leadership

We love to see our people flourish in their careers here at Brewin Dolphin, and see that as key to our success as a business. We support their development through a number of initatives and programmes, from offering apprenticeships with the Financial Planning Academy and Business Support teams in Newcastle, to developing future leaders through our MBA Programme and Executive Leadership Programme.

We also want our people to be happy, healthy and engaged with their work here, because we believe that means they will be at their best for our clients. We care for our employees' wellbeing and run employee engagement surveys, reporting the results in our annual report. Our scores are above industry benchmarks, and we act upon the findings so that we can continue to improve as an organisation.

Our Chairman and CEO are members of the 30% Club and we have signed the Women in Finance Charter. These initiatives keep our focus on increasing gender diversity at senior management and leadership levels. More broadly, our Diversity and Inclusion Committee have a programme of work ensuring that we are focussed on all aspects of diversity. How we recruit, develop and retain talented people regardless of their background is at the heart of our strategic agenda.
