The Brewin Dolphin Belfast office was established in 2005. It has 16 members of staff including seven highly experienced investment managers responsible for the management of funds in excess of £600m. Brewin Dolphin’s Investment Management Services covers private clients, ISAs, charities, trusts, companies and pension funds, including SIPPs. Brewin Dolphin has also forged strategic partnerships with a number of locally based firms of financial advisers with the aim of combining their expertise in financial planning with our investment management skills. It is Brewin Dolphin’s goal to offer a bespoke and personal service to each client and give every client access to a dedicated investment manager. The team’s disciplined and structured approach to investment management seeks to establish a diversified portfolio and control risk.

A graduate in Applied Economics and Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, Hal Catherwood worked in London before joining Cunningham Coates stockbrokers, where he worked as an Investment Manager and subsequently as a Director for 11 years. Hal joined Brewin Dolphin in 2005 and took over the role of Belfast Head of Office in 2008. In 2011, he was appointed a Regional Director and currently has responsibilities for Ireland and the Channel Islands.
