He manages the portfolios for clients of independent financial advisers and high-net-worth clients. He is particularly skilled in collective investments, investment trusts and asset allocation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He prides himself on being able to form deep connections with his clients, utilising both his experience and knowledge. He is a keen scholar of financial history and aims to use his learnings to improve client performance and enhance understanding, calming any nerves along the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>John has spent most of his career at RBC Brewin Dolphin, starting in 1993 and qualifying in 1997. He has always been involved in private client investment management but helped set up the Brewin Portfolio Service which allows smaller clients to invest and evolve with us. He also chairs the Managed Portfolio Service Investment Committee and serves on the Asset Allocation Committee.
