The ceremony, which was held at The Guildhall in London, saw the wealth management company win Best Discretionary Wealth Management Company of the Year, Best Initiatives in Diversity and chief executive David Nicol won the Lifetime Achievement award.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>    <p>One of the highlights of the night was the Lifetime Achievement award for Brewin Dolphin\u2019s chief executive, David Nicol, who will retire from the post in June of this year. Mr Nicol\u2019s achievements span more than 30 years in financial services. He began his career as a chartered accountant with Ernst &amp; Young before working at KPMG\u2019s Hong Kong division for two years. He then joined Morgan Stanley, where he worked for 26 years in a number of operations and finance roles. In March 2012, he joined Brewin Dolphin\u2019s board as a non-executive director before being appointed to the role of chief executive in 2013.<\/p>    <p><strong>David Nicol, chief executive, Brewin Dolphin said<\/strong>: \u201c<em>It was an honour to be presented with the Lifetime Achievement award. I have been fortunate over the years to work with some amazing people at some terrific organisations.\u201d&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>    <p><em>\u201cAt Brewin Dolphin, we put our clients at the heart of everything that we do, nurturing them throughout their financial journey to ensure they have the help and support they need in order to achieve their financial goals for the future.\u201d&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>    <p><em>\u201cI am proud to have spent the last seven years at Brewin Dolphin and of what the company has achieved in that time. It is with a sense of pride and contentment that I will be handing over the baton to Robin Beer in June of this year.\u201d<\/em><\/p>    <p>Among the other accolades for Brewin Dolphin was the Best Discretionary Wealth Management Company of the Year, which is recognition of the company\u2019s excellent financial advice for clients and its bespoke investments, and the Best Initiatives in Diversity award highlighting the strides the company has made to enhance its diversity and inclusion.
