Her elder brother, Daniel, then 24 years-old, committed suicide. There had been no warning signs and no explanation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year marks the tenth anniversary of Daniel\u2019s death and in remembrance of him, Olivia, who is an administrator at wealth management firm RBC Brewin Dolphin\u2019s Leeds office, will organise and take part in ten charitable acts across the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All funds raised will go to <em>Andy\u2019s Man Club<\/em>, a small charity described as \u2018a talking group, a place for men to come together in a safe environment to talk about issues and problems they have faced or are currently facing\u2019. The Leeds office has also made Andy\u2019s Man Club its charity of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the fundraising activities that Olivia and her family and friends will organise and participate in this year include a 10k race, 10-mile bike ride, a football tournament, food donations to the homeless, a blood donation, an auction and a charity gala dinner in Leeds, themed \u2018Dan\u2019s Decade\u2019, to mark the anniversary in August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Olivia Perkin, administrator at RBC Brewin Dolphin\u2019s Leeds office, said: \u201c<\/b><em>Dan <\/em><em>was the happiest, kindest and funniest person I\u2019ve ever met. No one had any clue he was sad, or depressed, he spoke to no one. Over 4,500 men take their lives in the UK every single year. It\u2019s imperative that we reduce these numbers. We believe that providing a safe space where men can come together and talk to other like-minded men about anything they might be struggling with, in a non-judgmental, confidential environment can prevent them from reaching that crisis point.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Richard Annis, head of RBC Brewin Dolphin\u2019s Leeds office, added<em>:<\/em><\/b><em> \u201cWe are so proud of everything that Olivia is undertaking to honour the memory of Daniel and to raise awareness of such an important issue that so many find difficult to talk about.
