On 27 May, Elaine Forbes from the Edinburgh office took part in the EMF 5k run to raise money for the Thistle Foundation in Edinburgh. The Thistle Foundation is a health and wellbeing charity that supports people living with long-term conditions across Scotland.
Elaine’s son has autism and now that he is reaching school leaving age, they are looking to the Thistle Foundation’s programmes for school leavers to ensure that he ready to make the transition from school to adult life. By doing the run, Elaine has raised £1,000 to support the work they do, which in turn supports people like her son to be part of their InterAct programme. InterAct is a dynamic, creative and collaborative project, working alongside young people, their families, schools and communities, to take steps towards the future they want.
