Monitoring and reporting
We have systems in place to monitor the asset allocation and stock selection of portfolios to ensure consistency of holdings and to review the level of risk being taken to achieve clients’ objectives. We continuously review the underlying investments within our clients’ portfolios as company specific, market and economic factors arise. Our monitoring highlights any unexpected price movements which may lead to us reviewing the continued appropriateness of a holding within a portfolio.
The ability to review the underlying holdings in pooled funds, which are updated monthly, allows the research team to monitor the ethical position within the funds we hold. We use the ethical investment research service system to research companies for both positive and negative ethical exposure and to review the social responsibility of companies.
Valuations
We recognise that you need the highest standards of reporting and portfolio analysis to carry out your duties in accordance with the relevant Trustee Act. This enables you to understand the position of your fund and also the implications of any decisions taken. In addition to regular meetings, we will keep you informed of the performance of your investments by sending out reports and valuations quarterly or half-yearly, depending on your wishes. The exact reporting format can be adapted to suit your needs, and will include a review of the investment strategy and the market, together with a detailed valuation and record of all transactions. Individual transactions will be reported on a daily basis through a contract note following execution. At any stage, you can contact your Investment Manager and ask them for more information on why a particular decision has been made.
Online
You can access your account online and check your investments through our secure server at any time. The website is also a link to a wide range of useful investment information and a good way to stay up-to-date with the latest movements in the financial markets.
