Biography

Richard left university with an Honours degree in Economics and started work at his local firm of stockbrokers P H Pope & Son in July 1989. He was initially offered a 6 month trial and 4½ years later was invited to become a partner. He started P H Pope & Son’s discretionary management department and was later made head of the Stoke-on-Trent office when the firm became part of Brewin Dolphin in 2002. He enjoys golf and tennis in the summer; playing squash and skiing in the winter, and hill walking most weekends.
