Biography
Richard MacAlister has managed
charities, pensions and other funds for over twenty years. He is chairman of the Brewin Dolphin Asset Allocation Committee and the Director of Investment for the
Newcastle office. He is also a member of the group asset allocation and structured product committees. Richard joined Brewin Dolphin in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1986, after completing a degree in Chemistry at Oxford University. He completed his Stock Exchange exams in 1988 and was promoted to Divisional Director in 1993. He was asked to move to the Manchester office in 1994 to develop its charitable fund management operation. After a successful project he returned in 1998 to his native North East to run the asset management team in Newcastle. Richard is a Divisional Director and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
